Forty Winks Cockburn store

Had a good and thorough experience with mariah. She helped us choose a bed and base and headboard. Gave us lots of information to help us with our decision. We are happy with our experience

We went into Forty Winks Cockburn the other day to buy a mattress and weren’t greeted or offered any assistance. There were around 6 staff members sitting together at the desk chatting while we looked around the store. While my husband and I were looking at a mattress, our 5yo went over to one of the display bunk beds and started climbing up it. We didn’t see him do this, but a staff member was very quick to call out loudly from across the store telling him to get down. Shortly after, we heard the same staff member comment to the others, loud enough for us to hear, “Don’t people know how to read signs?” He’s 5, so no, he can’t read the sign. I completely understand that children shouldn’t be climbing on the displays, and we told him to get down as soon as we realised. What I don’t understand is how staff can be so quick to call out across the store and make comments amongst themselves, yet not one person could come over and ask if we needed help when we were clearly looking at mattresses. Even when we decided to leave, nobody acknowledged us. Really poor customer service and, quite frankly, just rude. Fortunately, we went to another competing store afterwards, received amazing customer service and purchased our mattress there instead.
